Back in the early 90, I studied fine art photography in California College of Art & Craft (now California College of the art) and then received the commercial photography training at a renowned institute located in Santa Barbara. During the 3 years program of learning traditional photography and studio lighting, we were also encouraged by the instructors to explore different techniques such as selective focus (tilt-shift), cross-processing, polaroid transfer and other film and dark room tricks. Fast forward to 2007, thanks to the technology, we can use a cellular phone to take pictures and apply special effects or filters to the photo without going to a professional lab. Ever since i got an iPhone, I've been use it to capture the images wherever i go and record what I see with my naked eyes. I also got some accessories just to enchance the experience, such as wide angle lens from Nikon and Ricoh, Sony Qx100, phone jacket fromTurtleback, beastgrip rig, camera slider from edelkrone...
